This modern home for a young active family sits quietly in a rural landscape. An awkwardly shaped site and surrounding rural context influenced the form of the house. Consisting of two overlapping gable forms - one includes a two car garage with bedrooms above, the other includes the public spaces; living room, kitchen and play room. The double gable form echoes the forms of the neighboring barns. A clean, white interior, simple aluminum windows and sliding doors reflect the family’s minimalist style.
